ABOUT THIS SEMINAR
Myocardial infarction is one of the most important topics in electrocardiography. With the advent of effective treatment strategies, such as coronary angioplasty, diagnosis of acute MI is extremely important. This study day is ideal for those who really want to get to grips with the ECG in ischaemia and myocardial infarction. Basic STEMI and NSTEMI recognition is covered, but is also expanded on to include topics such as the exercise ECG, posterior and RV infarction, the significance of lead aVR, recognising STEMI equivalents such as De Winter T waves, and diagnosing ischaemia when there is underlying bundle branch block. In addition, we will also be looking at differential diagnosis of pathological Q waves and ST/T wave abnormalities; covering topics such as the ECG in pericarditis, Takotsubo, hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, early repolarisation, electrolyte abnormalities, and conduction abnormalities. We will also be marrying up some of the topics with their corresponding angiograms and echocardiograms.
All of the ECG topics are followed up with clinical case studies and practice sessions with high quality ECG examples. Suitable for delegates who already have an understanding of the ECG at basic to intermediate level, or for advanced students and trainers who wish to consolidate and update their existing knowledge. All delegates will receive an ECG toolkit™, a soundly researched unabridged workbook, ECG examples, glossary, and a certificate of attendance. Delegates will also receive a year's FREE subscription to "The ECG in Myocardial Infarction & Ischaemia" e-learning module worth £15.
